Old school ties really do last – an 80s reunion

It was another trip down memory lane for members of the West Heath 1981–1987 year group when they gathered for a reunion recently.

The venue was the London home of Mr and Mrs Wellesley-Smith, where their daughter Louisa grew up during her days boarding at West Heath. Louisa, who now lives in Brazil, was back on familiar territory and was a very capable hostess.

There was, naturally, plenty of reminiscing as old classmates caught up with each other and shared memories of their schooldays. Having kept in touch for more than 40 years, they clearly had no shortage of stories – and some of the tales and adventures from their West Heath days produced plenty of laughter.

It was one of those occasions where the years seemed to roll back and, for a few hours at least, everyone could forget how long ago those schooldays actually were!

Those enjoying the reunion were Sophie Huntington, Jo Mackinnon, Clare Allfrey, Claire Lindsay, Victoria Noel, Annabel Elliott, Sarah Tucker, Millie Patrick, Katie Pope, Charlotte Matthew, Alex Tapp, Katie Collins, Louise Burner, and Louisa Wellesley-Smith.
